The recently-formed AFL Members Association is to meet Wayne Jackson and other senior AFL officials this Friday at AFL Headquarters in Docklands.  This follows Mr Jackson's public commitment to meet AFLMA representatives, made on Melbourne radio during the AFL Finals series.

The AFLMA, which was formed in August to promote and protect the interests of AFL Members, will open discussions with the AFL about issues of concern that members have raised in the AFLMA's own surveys and on the AFLMA email discussion group.

Key concerns include Grand Final and "blockbuster" game ticketing, changes to Membership terms and conditions, and the establishment of a group, elected by members, to represent the membership in an ongoing dialogue with the AFL.

"This meeting is the first of what we hope will be a fruitful and constructive relationship with the AFL", said Michael Agrotis, AFLMA Media Spokesman, "Members have very high expectations of the AFL's recent public commitment to listen to the fans."

Members of the AFLMA delegation include Mr Michael Agrotis (Kraft), Mr Irwin Hirsh (Scott Partners), Mr Jeff Steel (Philip Morris), Mr Jim Brighthope (Tourism House), Mr Ross Symons (dotWAP.com) and Mr Robert Gottliebsen (The Australian).
